Presidency Home School offers parents the flexibility of opting for regular schooling of NIOS syllabus or homeschooling of the same board. The course materials are prescribed by the CBSE Board of India or the school of NIOS board. Homeschooling follows all the practices of traditional learning including chapter-wise notes for practices and assignments for self-appraisals with the flexibility of learning through an online platform.

Courses

Age Group: 6-8 years

Subjects: English, Environmental Studies, Basic Computer Skills and Mathematics.

Special Subjects: Human Friends, Watering the Plants, Folk Songs, Kitchen World, Balanced Diet, Cooking, etc.

  • Special subjects or extra learning includes field trips by the school or the parents, explanatory projects, concepts videos and more.
  • The time limit will be given before the midterm exams.
LEVEL A

Age Group: 9-11 years

Subjects: English, Environmental Studies, Basic Computer Skills and Mathematics.

Special Subjects: Dance, Music, Basics of Tailoring, Cleanliness or Personal Hygiene, Arts & Crafts, Gardening, etc.

  • Special subjects or extra learning includes field trips by the school or the parents, explanatory projects, concepts videos and more.
  • The time limit will be given before the midterm exams.
LEVEL B

Age Group: 12-13 years

Subjects: English, Social Studies, Science, Basic Computer Skills and Mathematics.

Special Subjects: Use of Electronic Gadgets, Public Speaking, Sports, Healthy Food, Healthy Living Habits, Relationship Development

  • Attitude, Horticulture, Agriculture, Indian Science, Yoga, Sanskrit.
  • The special or extra subjects can be opted based on student preference.

Age Group: Above 14 years

Subjects: Equivalent to the Xth and XIIth standard.

Group A
Hindi, English, Bengali, Marathi, Telugu, Urdu, Gujarati, Kannada, Sanskrit, Punjabi, Assamese, Nepali, Malayalam, Odia, Arabic, Persian, Tamil, Sindhi.

Group B
Mathematics, Science and Technology, Social Science, Economics, Business Studies, Home Science, Data Entry Operation, Psychology, Indian Culture & Heritage, Painting, Data Entry Operations, Accountancy, Hindustani Music, Carnatic Sangeet.

Indian Knowledge Tradition
Veda Adhyan, Sanskrit Vyakaran, Bharatiya Darshan, Sanskrit Sahitya.

  • Students are required to successfully complete a minimum of 5 subjects from Group B, which is compulsory for certification.
  • Minimum one and maximum two language subjects from Group A are permissible for certification. However, a third language can be offered as an additional subject.
  • Two additional subjects can also be taken.
  • Students are advised to select the subjects as per their future plans of study and work.
