Students who need to update core personal information after admission can apply through the e-Services Dashboard with the following official charges:
- Name Change — ₹400 (with gazette notification or legal document)
- Guardian Name Change — ₹200 (with valid supporting documents)
- Date of Birth Change — ₹400 (with official proof of DOB)
Basic Details – Correction Services
Spelling mistakes or data entry errors made during admission can be corrected through the NIOS portal:
- Name Correction — ₹400
- Father’s Name Correction — ₹400
- Mother’s Name Correction — ₹400
- Guardian Name Correction — ₹100
- Date of Birth Correction — ₹400
These corrections are important because the name and date of birth on your NIOS certificates must exactly match your Aadhaar, birth certificate, or other official identity documents. Students applying for NIOS Class 10 admission or NIOS Class 12 admission should ensure all details are entered accurately at the time of registration to avoid correction fees later.

Two additional services that students frequently need:
- Re-Upload Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA) — ₹400: If a TMA was not uploaded correctly or requires resubmission within the permitted period, students can use the e-Services Dashboard to re-upload it by paying the prescribed fee.
- Change Examination Centre — Fee as per NIOS guidelines at the time of application (permitted only in exceptional circumstances and subject to NIOS approval).
